Alexus Thapa

Dr. Alexus Thapa was born and raised in Kinston, North Carolina, and has called the Raleigh area home since attending North Carolina State University. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Zoology from NC State in 2017 and began her career working at the local animal shelter, where she discovered a passion for advocating for animals. Dr. Thapa pursued a Master of Science in Veterinary Forensic Science through the University of Florida, graduating in 2019. Dr. Thapa went on to earn her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from North Carolina State University in 2026. 

Outside of veterinary medicine, Dr. Thapa enjoys exploring new restaurants with her husband, watching YouTube horror gameplays, and spending time with her three pets: Harley, a pittie mix; Trippie, a Boston Terrier; and Flea, the princess tortoiseshell cat.
